Zoo Announces Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Introducing our Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jennifer Kros-Dorfmeyer.

After an extensive search, Jennifer joins the Zoo team with a diverse marketing and business background, spanning retail, eCommerce, manufacturing, business-to-business and business-to-consumer industries, right here in Omaha. Jennifer’s reputation for transforming brands, elevating customer experiences and fostering meaningful connections makes her an excellent fit to spearhead the mission-critical work of our marketing and communications team.

"Omaha has always been my home, and I’m incredibly proud to serve in this role as a brand ambassador for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium and Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park. To me, these aren’t just destinations—they’re places where memories are made, connections are strengthened and conservation comes to life. My goal is to ensure that every experience, whether at the Zoo or the Safari Park, reflects our values and creates moments that inspire, engage and build lasting loyalty among our employees, members, guests and community."

Jennifer joins the Zoo with the goal of building on the incredible legacy of our Zoo and Safari Park alongside a visionary leadership team, embedding our mission into every experience to create meaningful connections, drive innovation and enhance the Zoo and Safari Park’s reputation as a leader in the zoo and aquarium industry and a cornerstone of our community.

“We look forward to welcoming Jennifer to serve as a key partner in ensuring that every interaction, whether in person or online, reflects our brand’s essence and strengthens its connection to our mission,” said Megan Longo, Chief Brand and Experience Officer at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. “We are glad to welcome her to our Zoo team and build upon the incredible work that is happening here, every day.”

Jennifer officially joined the Zoo on Monday, March 17.
