Field Study Student Workshops empower students to think, read, write, and communicate like real scientists. Each workshop includes a conservation quest, encouraging students to explore the wild spaces at the Zoo and unpack science concepts through three-dimensional learning. By engaging in Science and Engineering Practices and Crosscutting Concepts, students investigate real-world conservation initiatives and discover efforts supported by Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. All workshops are aligned with Nebraska’s College and Career Ready Standards for Science and the Next Generation Science Standards.
These two-hour programs are offered for grades K–12. Enhance your students’ experience by adding a behind-the-scenes tour of animal areas or scheduling an animal ambassador for an up-close encounter!
