Dive into the wild with our Zoo classes designed to spark curiosity and build meaningful connections to wildlife. Through fun, hands-on experiences, children of all ages explore animal behaviors, habitats, and conservation in ways that bring the wonder of the Zoo to life. Each class inspires young minds to discover, learn, and care for the natural world.

Stroller Safari (Ages 0-2)

Bring your little explorers on a one-of-a-kind Zoo adventure made just for them. Each Stroller Safari begins with an engaging storytime, followed by a relaxed stroll through the Zoo featuring animal chats and playful learning moments. Everything is perfectly paced for toddlers and their grown-ups.

Be sure to bring your stroller and your sense of adventure.

Stroller Safaris are $15 for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium members and $20 for non-members. One adult is required and included in the program fee.

Early Explorers (Ages 2-3)

Gather your little learners for a hands-on adventure designed just for curious minds. Early Explorers introduces children to colors, patterns, shapes, habitats, and biomes through fun, interactive activities that spark imagination and discovery.

It’s a playful way to explore the natural world together and build early connections to animals and nature.

Programs are $15 for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium members and $20 for non-members. One adult must attend and is included in the program fee.

Each session runs from 10:30–11:15 a.m.

Preschool Pals (Ages 3-5)

Invite your preschoolers to join a hands-on adventure designed just for curious young minds. Each themed session features imaginative stories, creative crafts, and unforgettable up-close encounters with ambassador animals. The experience nurtures early learning and inspires a lasting love for wildlife.

Programs are $20 for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium members and $25 for non-members.

Programs are offered from 10:30–11:30 a.m. and 1:30–2:30 p.m.

L.I.O.N. Classes (Ages 6-14)

Learning. Is. Our. Nature. That’s the L.I.O.N. way! These dynamic classes engage curious kids in hands-on experiences that spark discovery and deepen their connection to wildlife. Through interactive lessons and unforgettable animal encounters, we help shape the next generation of nature’s stewards.

Programs are $25 for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium members and $30 for non-members.

Programs are offered from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 pm.-3 p.m. unless noted otherwise.
